About Us

The Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi is guided by Christian principles to strengthen the foundations of our community and nurture the potential of the men, women, and children who call Mississippi their home. As a nonprofit dedicated to meeting community needs, we engage people across the state. We are proud of our history, and welcome people from every walk of life to take part in our great organization’s nearly two centuries history of fun, encouragement, and growth.

At the Y, we provide programs, services and initiatives designed to help everyone in our ?community to learn, grow and thrive. The Y is an inclusive, cause-driven organization that welcomes all, fulfilling our vision by focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our association operates three full-service branches and additional program sites throughout the great Jackson Metropolitan area, with participation and membership growing every year.
