Since 1999, the City of Flowood has hosted the Flowood Family Festival, an outdoor concert that kicks off the summer season with live music, kid's activities, fair food, fireworks, and more. The festival is always free and brings in travelers from all over to join in family-friendly fun right here in Flowood.

Current Flowood and Rankin County residents receive 1/2 off regular Zoo admission from 9 am to 4 pm. Flowood and Rankin County businesses are encouraged to reserve booth space on park grounds for the day.
