Since 1999, the City of Flowood has hosted the Flowood Family Festival, an outdoor concert that kicks off the summer season with live music, kid's activities, fair food, fireworks, and more. The festival is always free and brings in travelers from across the South to join in family-friendly fun right here in Flowood.

American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a nationwide movement dedicated to ending breast cancer as we know it—for everyone. It brings together survivors, caregivers, families, friends, and communities to walk in support of those affected by breast cancer and to raise funds for lifesaving work.
