Jackson Preparatory School in Flowood, MS is seeking a Broadcast Media Director (hereinafter referred to as the Broadcast Director) to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Broadcast Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The Broadcast Director will set up, operate, and maintain the live stream audio visual streaming and recording for academic, athletic, artistic, and co-curricular activities and programs, and teach broadcast media classes, supporting Jackson Prep’s mission “to inspire and challenge students toward academic, athletic, and artistic excellence, instill personal integrity through biblical values, and equip students to pursue lives of distinction in service to society.”

- Manage and coordinate the school’s broadcast program, including equipment and personnel
- Maintain operations of Broadcast Studio and related equipment
- Manage and teach the Broadcast Media Class
- Manage the audio/visual and broadcasting for live-streaming events and recordings for academic, athletic, artistic, and co-curricular activities
- Maintain and update campus digital signage, including managing the signage TVs and the campus closed-circuit network
- Provide support for audio/visual equipment use in the academic buildings, Gym, and Dining Commons
- Coordinate and run audio/visual equipment for events held in the amphitheater or on Patriot Avenue
- Broadcast and record PAT and school events, including school productions and graduation events
- Setup and produce athletic events including football, basketball, baseball, and filling in for volleyball, soccer, and softball as needed
- Provide programming and technical assistance with all audio/visual systems for all athletic facilities and events both on campus and remote
- Produce and distribute weekly football starting lineup programming
- Create weekly football highlight videos
- Produce commercials as necessary
- Produce Prep Talk programming
- Produce and stream Varsity Pep Rallies
- Create Graphics for streaming productions and scoreboard displays
- Provide programming and technical assistance for football stadium video board
- Ensure installation and provide technical assistance for televisions and live feeds to concession stands
- Assist in the solicitation of broadcast sponsors and donors as required
- Any other duties as assigned by the COO
Assist Theatre Technical Director with the Following items as required:
- Management of all facilities and equipment in the Centre (Centre includes Theatre, Lindsay Hall, and VanDevender Art Gallery)
- Coordination of routine maintenance for facilities and assets in the Centre
- Provision and/or coordination of sound and lighting for all school events and rehearsals
- Provision of technical planning and assistance for school productions including but not limited to the musical, one act play, show choir Masters, the spring play, Summer Camps and external contracted events
The Broadcast Media Director and the Theatre Technical Director are expected to adequately cross-train each other so that either can effectively cover for the other as circumstances and events require.

- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Media Communications or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience is preferred. Professional experience in digital design, multimedia production, or a related industry
- Proficiency with Mac and PC platforms
- Knowledge of video editing software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to uphold Jackson Prep’s mission and philosophy, demonstrate the school's core character values, and be an active member of the Jackson Prep community
